Conjugal Infertility Clinic (AEST)

 

Inclusion criteria

Individuals male or female with desire to have children and diagnosis of infertility (inability to conceive spontaneously ouausência pregnancy after 12 months of regular sexual activity without the use of contraceptive methods), provided that they present the exclusion criteria described below.

 

Exclusion Criteria

The following cases should not be referred to the Sterility Clinic of HCRP because they do not meet prioritization of scale with the available resources:

1) Female Age equal to or above 38 years.

2) Women with three (3) or more stunted cesareans.

3) Chronic Pathologies of women who join a high-risk pregnancy and / or perinatal as expert opinion: Diabetes Mellitus decompensated, hypertension Record, Heart Disease Moderate or Severe, severe blood dyscrasias, Hepatic Insufficiency or Renal Advanced neoplasms, AIDS stages 3 or 4, Lupus Erythematosus uncontrolled, uncontrolled epilepsy.

4) Psychiatric disorders that compromise satisfactory home performance.

5) unstable marital relationship where the spouses are not in agreement as to the desire of pregnancy.

6) Conditions precarious economic partner in that there are no minimum conditions to maintain a child.

7) or discordant couples with positive serology (HBsAg, anti-HBc IgM, Anti-HCV, anti-HIV 1 and / or 2, Anti-HTLV1 and / or 2)

8) Premature ovarian failure (FSH ≥ 40 in women younger than 40 years).

 

Tests required for submission to the EST

1) FSH third day of the menstrual cycle

2) Hysterosalpingography

3) Spermiogram (if modified, 2 tests with a minimum interval of 3 months)

4) VDRL, HBsAg, IgM anti-HBc, anti-HCV, anti-HIV 1 and 2, and 2 Anti-HTLV1

 

Information couples: All couples to be submitted to EST must first be oriented in some respects:

Couples should follow the basic routine investigation of conjugal sterility factors. This investigation lasts an average of six months and is critical so that you can indicate the best treatment for each couple.

There is no way to promise that there will be a pregnancy, because pregnancy rate depends on the type of treatment, the cause of infertility and is influenced by patient age.

For cases where there is need for more complex treatments (intrauterine insemination, in vitro fertilization or intracytoplasmic sperm injection); it is important to note that the Hospital das Clinicas does not have the necessary medications for ovarian stimulation, and therefore the couple will fit the need of providing medications for their own use. These values ​​are varied, but revolve around R $ 1,000.00 for intrauterine insemination or R $ 2500.00 to 5000.00 for in vitro fertilization.
